Welcome to Our Puppy Blog!

Welcome to our blog! I am a small hobby breeder of Schnoodle puppies. My Schnoodles are a cross of the White Schnauzer with a Red Poodle. These dogs do not shed, are great for allergy sufferers, are friendly and easily trained.

We have 4 breeding females and sell our puppies face to face as required by APHIS rules for hobby breeders.

Our breeding dogs are from purebred Akc lines and the Schnoodle puppies are registered with ICA (the registry for Designer breed dogs.)

They will be vet checked, have their first set of shots, and they have been using a Ugodog Potty tray from 4 to 8 weeks. But this is just the beginning! Read through our posts to see the special care and attention we give our litter. You will enjoy watching our Growing Puppies!

We sell our puppies through our Waiting list. To reserve your spot on the Waiting List requires a $250 deposit. If you have any questions please email me at GrowingPuppies@gmail.com

A letter to a Friend

Great news!  Dixie had her puppies Friday night between 8:30 pm and 4:30am. (She was due today)  Wow, I had no idea it took so long!   We have 5 white males and 2 white females!   It was an exhausting night, but very exciting.  Everything went very smoothly.  I felt rather relaxed throughout the process since it all seemed so similar to my own natural childbirths.   Though Dixie did have it worse in that she had to go through delivery 8 times in a single night.  Yes, she had 8 puppies, but the last one was a still born.  I knew immediately, as it was smaller, lifeless, and did not look well formed.  My daughter was a little sad about it, but I said it was just natures way.  It would be much worse to have a puppy die after birth.

One thing that is interesting from a genetic point of view, is that all the puppies are pure white, except the second born, who is a very light almost beige-white.  Isn't that interesting from a genetics point of view!?  Both parents have the double recessive white gene, but even then there are variations.  Nonetheless, my research indicates that that puppy too will turn white as she matures!

Dixie is being a great mom and the puppies are nursing well. We will keep you posted on the progress of the puppies.   It is a very exciting experience all round!

Birth Announcement- May 1

Just wanted to share the good news that Dixie delivered seven white schnauzer puppies last night.  There are 5 boys and 2 girls!  It was a long delivery which took place May 1 between 9 pm and 3:30 am, but Dixie did great through the whole thing.  All the squeeky little puppies are happily nursing this morning and Dixie looks very pleased with her accomplishment!  I need to give Dixie her privacy for a few days (and quite frankly, I need to catch up on sleep myself!), but after that if any one was eager to take a peek, I would be pleased to show them off.  They are so incredibly cute and tiny!

At this point in their development the puppies eyes and ears are closed and they are totally blind and deaf.  They rely solely on their sense of smell in order to find their source of food.

We took time to hold each puppy every day for just a few minutes.  Then we left them in a quiet place with their mom.  We placed a tshirt, with our human scent in the crate.  These are important first steps in the puppy to human bonding experience.
