Coco's puppies...2 weeks old!

Although Coco's puppies still look very much like one another, I am posting individual picture so you can start to see their individuality.

Update on Coco's Litter

Coco's puppies are 2 and half weeks old today.   I finally got the chance to take photos.  The puppies eyes have started to open.  Their ears are opening too....but that is not so obvious.   Now that they have more than just a sense of smell they will start to explore their world.  Their mobility will be increasing tremendously over the next few weeks.   Soon I will have to move them out of their whelping pool.  

For now they are still quiet angelic puppies.  They are easy to keep and low maintenance for now.  And although they still look a bit like hamsters, they look more like puppies every day.

Update on Misty's Litter

I suppose I should call this an announcement rather than an update, since I haven't actually posted on the birth of Misty's pups.   Sorry Misty!   The good news is that Misty had 1 girl and 1 boy puppy on Sept 10 just 2 days after Coco had her litter.  This is nice for me, since I will be able to raise both litters together when they are older.   

The birth was easy for Misty.   We didn't even know she was in labor.  She just crawled into her bed time crate and had her puppy.  My 7 year old was the first to notice!   I was so glad she chose her own bed for the birth!   

Misty never got very round during her gestation, so I wasn't surprised that she only had 2 puppies.  But the big surprise was the difference in size between her 2 puppies.  The girl puppy got all the large genes and the boy puppy got all the tiny genes.

Thinking we'[re a Lion

Hi Mary - Just saw your blog post this morning...so happy about all the incoming pups! !!

Thought I'd drop you a quick note to let you know that April is doing really well.   She is very sweet and loyal.  We're working  on getting her more comfortable around other dogs (she's already great with people). She finished puppy kindergarten.  Lucky for us, our next door neighbors just got a pup.  So in time she should have a good friend nearby. :)

Coco's Puppies Born!!....Misty is due...and more!!!

Hi All,

Big News!!!   Coco had 6 puppies today:  3 boys and 3 girls.   They were born between 1 pm and 5 pm.  I don't have pictures right now.  I don't want to disturb her since she had such a big day.   The delivery was excellent.  The puppies came out at regular intervals and without a worry.   Coco was a champ! 

I will be contacting people on the waiting list in the order of their names.   Please be patient, as there is a lot going on in my life right now.  It is all GOOD!  I am just very busy.

And more NEWS.....
We added a new white Mini Schnauzer female puppy to our breeding program in May.   She is a fantastic little puppy dog!   I am so excited to have added her to our family.  I will write a post about her when I have time to get her photos up.

Thank you all for your patience.   I am being swamped with emails and having a hard time keeping up with correspondence.   Thank you to everyone for your interest!  I hope I can get caught up very soon!
