Welcome to Our Puppy Blog!

Welcome to our blog! I am a small hobby breeder of Schnoodle puppies. My Schnoodles are a cross of the White Schnauzer with a Red Poodle. These dogs do not shed, are great for allergy sufferers, are friendly and easily trained.

We have 4 breeding females and sell our puppies face to face as required by APHIS rules for hobby breeders.

Our breeding dogs are from purebred Akc lines and the Schnoodle puppies are registered with ICA (the registry for Designer breed dogs.)

They will be vet checked, have their first set of shots, and they have been using a Ugodog Potty tray from 4 to 8 weeks. But this is just the beginning! Read through our posts to see the special care and attention we give our litter. You will enjoy watching our Growing Puppies!

We sell our puppies through our Waiting list. To reserve your spot on the Waiting List requires a $250 deposit. If you have any questions please email me at GrowingPuppies@gmail.com

Announcing our litter of 6 Schnoodle puppies!

Saturday evening, March 12, at 5:30pm the first of our beautiful Schnoodle puppies was born.  Over the next 3 hours the other 5 puppies followed.  The birthing was smooth, and Dixie handled it well!

The survival instinct is very strong in the newborn pup.  They have no problem finding their food.

Dixie is healthy, eating and running outside for potty breaks, and taking care of the litter like the good mother she is.
Exhausted after 3 hours of birth, Dixie rests knowing her puppies are safe at her side.

The puppies all look very healthy and vigorous.  However, the next 48 hours is the most crucial time in the pups life, as that is when their is the highest mortality rate.  Most often there is no known cause.

We are keeping our babies warm, and checking on them and Dixie often to make sure they are eating and looking well.  So far everything looks great and we are very thrilled with this litter!

Here is the break down of the litter:

5:30 pm - Tigger- apricot Male  -- 9.1 oz
6:10 pm  - Toffee - cream Male -- 8.2 oz
6:55 pm  - Ginger - apricot Female -- 8.9 oz
7:14 pm  - Scarlet - apricot Female -- 8.1
7:28  - Peaches- cream Female -- 10.2
8:05pm  -- Taco - apricot Male --8.2

We were not able to get the weights of the last of the pups since they came so quickly and then it was evident Dixie wanted to keep the litter around her.  (My digital scale attaches to the computer, 2 floors up) But I will be weighing them regularly and recording those weights to be sure they are eating and growing well.   The most important thing to watch for is that their weights continue to increase and do not decline.

Additionally, by following the growth pattern of the puppy from birth to 6 weeks, it will be evident whether the puppy will grow to an adult toy size, or a miniature Schnoodle.

Announcing the Birth of 5 beautiful Puppies!

Dixie delivered 5 puppies between 12 am and 5 am this morning, Friday, July 30, 2010.
Puppies will be ready to go home Sept. 24, 2010

This is a first picture of all the puppies with their Mama.  Dixie is still so exhausted, that  we have not been able to bathe her yet...so please excuse the yucky beard and furnishings.
Here's the little family in birth order:
2 white girls, 1 white boy, 1 black boy, and 1 girl salt n' pepper.
Here was our first puppy, getting acquainted with her  Mama.
This puppy wins!  She was our first born at 12:00 am, July 30, 2010

This is our only pup that is not a solid color.  She is a salt n' pepper and will eventually be lighter than this first puppy coat shows.

Birth Announcement- May 1

Just wanted to share the good news that Dixie delivered seven white schnauzer puppies last night.  There are 5 boys and 2 girls!  It was a long delivery which took place May 1 between 9 pm and 3:30 am, but Dixie did great through the whole thing.  All the squeeky little puppies are happily nursing this morning and Dixie looks very pleased with her accomplishment!  I need to give Dixie her privacy for a few days (and quite frankly, I need to catch up on sleep myself!), but after that if any one was eager to take a peek, I would be pleased to show them off.  They are so incredibly cute and tiny!

At this point in their development the puppies eyes and ears are closed and they are totally blind and deaf.  They rely solely on their sense of smell in order to find their source of food.

We took time to hold each puppy every day for just a few minutes.  Then we left them in a quiet place with their mom.  We placed a tshirt, with our human scent in the crate.  These are important first steps in the puppy to human bonding experience.
